One of the most famous party hostels in Queenstown, New Zealand

One of the most famous party hostels in Queenstown, New Zealand

The staff at Nomads Queenstown party slightly less than our guests, as we actually have jobs to go to and need to be friendly and attentive during the day! However, this past week has provided some great examples of Queenstown fun and frivolity.
On Wednesday night the girls of Nomads Queenstown Backpackers Hostel started out with a few drinks in the common room (before the drinking ban kicks in at 10pm of course!) and then moved to acoustic night at Winnies, one of the local bars. Gareth (he’s so dreamy), the Nomads Queenstown Backpackers Hostel entertainment manager, and Chasen one of our long term guests played guitar and sang for the audience.
It was great to see, and we all felt like proud mothers. Following this we went to the usual hang out of World Bar for some much loved teapots and onto the locals favourite, Bar Up. Most bars in Queenstown close between 3am and 4am, except for Bardeaux which stays open until 5am…so there the night ended, just as the sun was coming up.
